How do you feel when you walk into your office – happy and productive or anxious because of the clutter and disorganization?
Your office is your environment for productivity and profitability. Everything in this space impacts your performance. STOP NOW and write down what’s working and not working with your office.
Here are step-by-step instructions on evaluating:
- Tour your space. What do you see, and how do you feel, in the space?
- Evaluate the size and location. Do you feel cramped, or is there room to collaborate and grow? If leasing, would owning your own space be beneficial?
- Consider your organizational efficiency. Look at your layout, and the positioning of key pieces of equipment. Are you maximizing accessibility and convenience?
- Take time to purge. Chances are there are things in your office that are no longer serving you, and it’s time to let them go.
Consider all aspects, from the décor to the positioning of furniture and what surrounds the office. What can you change in the coming year?
